The year length can have an affect on us because the year in Mars is almost double the length of our earth year. This could affect us because we are not use to a long year and this could cause complications. The total length of one year on Mars is equivalent to one Earth year and then another 10 Earth months. This could affect us quite a bit because this is a big change because our year is only twelve months but it is 22 months on Mars. On the other hand the day length on mars is only 30-40 minutes longer than a day on earth only meaning you might get a sleep in every morning. The day length will affect humans little to none.
There could be many affects to our daily life because of the length of the year. On Mars the seasons are the same but go on for a different length of time. If we follow the Mars year we would have to create and name 10 new months either we do this or we expand our Earth months. This is a very challenging concept. We would have to think about this very carefully before deciding to go to Mars.
The day length is not that much different but could still affect us in little ways. on our clocks we would have to change it so the time goes until 24:40 and then continue into the next day. It could be hard engineering new clock to have on Mars. We may need to adjust a few things during the day but this would not be such a huge problem.
